Start Your Engines: Opening Weekend at Alaska Raceway Park!
NASCAR and INEX racing roar back to life at Alaska Raceway Park as we kick off the season on Saturday, May 10th, brought to you by KHITZ 107.1
Get ready for an action-packed evening on the paved oval — gates open at 2 PM, qualifying starts at 5, and we’ll drop the green flag at 6 sharp.
Catch the high-speed action featuring the Mann Family Dental Bandoleros, INEX Legends, Baby Grand, Bomber, Thunder Stock, and Late Model classes. It’s a horsepower buffet, and you’re invited.
We’ll also take a moment before the engines fire to honor Willie Creech, a beloved member of our racing family whose passion and contributions to motorsports — especially the Legends class — made a lasting impact. He'll be riding with us in spirit all season long.
Heads-up: Due to tower construction delays, the Drag Strip Mother's Day race is canceled. But don’t worry — the Strip will fire up on Saturday, May 17th for NHRA Street Night. Fast cars, good vibes, and a little extra rubber on the track — just how we like it.
