April 28th Track Update
Here is a brief state of the track address & update. First, Karen and Earl are doing great. Dad has been out poking around the track and is itching to get some seed on the grass. Mom is working on projects and enjoying having Dad out of the house.
We're happy to announce that Tesoro will be returning again this year as our title points sponsor for the 2020 season and will be doing their receipt promo the tail end of the season. Thank you Tesoro! Shoot us some pics of you filling up at your local station for a chance to win some pre-season prizes!
We have submitted a COVID mitigation plan to the Governors office so we can tweak that for the soft open on Memorial Day. Fingers crossed we will know more on that later this week. Reopening will most likely require face masks and for racers and crew to stay in their designated pit spots, but at least we’ll be racing.
Speaking of racing, the SCCA COVID mitigation plan has been approved an we will have some autocross action at the track starting this weekend. Admission will be limited to pre-registered racers only and more information can be found online here: https://www.alaskascca.org/
Last thing – the Wasilla High School Car Show has been turned info a virtual show. Register for the event online at https://form.jotform.com/201166439182050 There will be online voting and some of the absolutely coolest trophies ever will be awarded.
