Alaska Raceway Park
Alaska Raceway Park named a finalist in Advance Auto Parts Advance My Track Challenge.
Alaska Raceway Park (ARP), located in Palmer, Alaska was named as one of the top six racetracks from across the country advancing to the final round of the NASCAR Advanced Auto Parts Advance My Track Challenge set to win a grand prize of $50,000.
Advance Auto Parts and NASCAR have provided racetracks across the country the opportunity to win $50,000 to invest in our track and our community. The Advance My Track Challenge kicked off on March 23. ARP was one of 22 NASCAR Home Tracks in the competition.
Each track had the opportunity to make the top six during the first round of online voting, which took place over the past month. The top six racetracks move to the final round of online voting taking place on May 9 and 10 at advancemytrack.com. Fans can vote three times each day.
Michelle Lackey Maynor, ARP owner and race director says, “Winning the Advance My Track Challenge would provide accessibility for our fans on four wheels, a playground for our little fans, and improvements for our racers. Voting for Alaska Raceway Park shows how important our track is to our community and our State. Alaskans coming together can make this happen.”
Alaska Raceway Park is a Palmer, Alaska motorsports complex conducting races from Mother's Day to Labor Day. Located near Butte at Mile 10.4 of the Old Glenn Highway, it is about 41.5 miles northeast of Anchorage, Alaska. ARP provides auto racing sports on a 1/4 drag strip through NHRA Northwest Division 6 and 1/3-mile asphalt oval track sanctioned in 2016 as a home track by NASCAR in its Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series.
