2020 Season opener is here!

Our 2020 season opener is here! Join us for our soft opening, and help us practice COVID mitigation. Below are some general tips for the weekend at the track.

Spectators - we are limited to 500 each day this weekend, and the pits are only for racers, crew, and season parking holders. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we open Alaska and Alaska Raceway Park responsibly.

General Info

• Please do your part to insure safety so we can be open all summer
• If you’re not feeling well, please stay home
• Pits are restricted to racers, crew and season parking holders only
• Please social distance (6’ or more), no large groups of people
• Masks are encouraged
• If you are camping overnight, it’s suggested to camp 25’ or more apart
• Fires are restricted to small 3’ diameter or less warming fires and it’s recommended to use propane
• Stella's and the Crate are open, the Green Light Grill & the High Octane Lounge are open, the gift shop will be open next event

General Racer Info

• Register for points at www.myracepass.com/tracks/3409/registrations
• Renew your NASCAR, INEX or apply for your NHRA license
• Points stickers, sponsor stickers and tickets will be available to all registered racers at the next event
• Minor Release forms need to be completed for:
  • All minors requesting access in the Oval pits
  • All minors in the drags that need restricted access (IE: staging lanes, return road)
• Timing towers are currently off limits. Motorcycles can get their dial ins to the base of the tower

Weekend Schedule
Friday: Pit gates open 3 pm until 10 pm
Saturday: Pit gate opens at 9 am
Oval track open practice 2pm until 7 pm
Pit gate closes at 10 pm
Sunday: Pit gate opens at 9 am
Test & Tune 11 am - 5 pm
Grudge match races lanes 5 & 6 starting at 2 pm.
Monday: Pit gate opens at 9 am
Test & Tune at 11 am
Eliminations at 2 pm
National Moment of silence - 3 pm
Drag Tech Notes: if you are racing both days, bring both your tech slips to tech on Sunday and tech for both days. We will also be starting extended tech inspections this week.

Drag Racer Text Messaging Test

• To try the texting app on the drag side, text @arpdrags to 81010
• You will need to enter your name, and sign up as a student. It asks for a DOB to verify you are over 13 years old.
• You do not need to download the app, but you can
• We’re gonna try this for messaging about ladders & lane announcements, I’d appreciate your feedback
