Inaugural Chevelle Showdown Event
Calling all Chevelles and El Caminos model years 1964 thru 1972!
The Inaugural Chevelle Showdown will be held at Alaska Raceway Park July 5. This event will be sponsored by Mighty Mike’s Performance Powerglides. Entry fee will be $50.00, with 60% going to the champion and 40% going to the runner-up. In addition, the champion and runner-up will receive trophies and gift certificates towards any Powerglide or Turbo 400 transmission freshen-up. Krazy Moose Subs will be providing gift certificates as well!
This race will be a full tree bracket-style race. Time trials from 10 - 11 a.m., eliminations start at 11:30 a.m., with all competitors bringing their cars to the back of the staging lanes, drivers will meet at the starting line to draw chips to determine their opponent and lane choice. 1 races 1, 8 races 8 and so on. Red chips will have lane choice.
Come on out and join the fun with family and friends at Alaska Raceway Park’s Fun Day! If you don’t want to race and own a Chevelle, just bring it out and show it off at this Inaugural event.
